Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma on Wednesday trolled his teammates after they met former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler The Great Khali on August 7.
The batsman uploaded a split picture of him holding the WWE Championship belt and his teammates meeting Khali and captioned it as, "Well tried fellas, but the belt is here," followed by a string of emojis.
Skipper Virat Kohli was among the first ones to pose for a photo with the giant wrestler from Himachal Pradesh. Kohli captioned the image as, "It was Great to meet The Great Khali, what a guy!." Later, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya too joined in on posing with Khali.
The Great Khali has been part of several iconic duels in the WWE ring and is the first Indian to make it big in the business.
The belt, which Rohit can be seen holding the photograph that he shared, is a specially designed belt which was sent by WWE to his Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians.
The Mumbai batsman has been included in the squad for Sri Lanka but didn’t participate in the first two Tests.
The Indian players have enjoyed a brief period of relaxation in Sri Lanka after sealing a series victory. The third and final Test of the series begins August 12 at Pallekele.
