Cricketer Irfan Pathan has been trolled again for celebrating Raksha Bandhan and wearing a rakhi on his wrist while clicking a photo. This incident comes days after he was trolled for sharing a picture of his wife, who was hiding her face but her nail paint was visible.
On the occasion of Rakhi on August 8, Pathan took to social media and shared a picture of himself with the caption ‘Happy Rakhi everyone #rakshabandhan’. He shared the photo on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and received both positive and negative reactions.
Pathan was quick to become a target of Islamic radical trolls who either labelled the veteran all-rounder as un-Islamic or shamed him for celebrating a 'Hindu festival'. Irfan was told that celebrating this festival was not acceptable as per Islamic traditions.
Hitting back over the trolls, Irfan put out a strong statement condemning all the critics.
"Using foul language, talking to each other rudely on the basis of religion. It shows nothing but your own learning which some people have gathered in their mind over the years. Stop this nonsense of putting each other down," he wrote.
Earlier, Irfan Pathan was trolled online as 'un-Islamic for posting a photo along with his wife, Safa Baig.
