Sachin Tendulkar attends Rajya Sabha, gets mercilessly trolled on Twitter

Sachin Tendulkar resumed his innings in the Rajya Sabha after the former Indian cricketer was spotted attending a session in the Parliament on Thursday. Tendulkar, however, opted to stay mum on his return
Nominated celebrity MPs like Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha have often been called out for not attending the Parliament regularly. In fact, the two of them have the worst attendance record of all.

So when Tendulkar actually showed up, there were naturally a lot of jokes and memes on Twitter.
Most people on the social media referred him to as ‘Eid Ka Chand’ as it appears only once a year. Many of them came up with hilarious tweets and funny memes of how he had to attend Rajya Sabha even though he did not want. And teenagers couldn’t stop but compare Sachin’s attendance in the Parliament to their college attendance. The micro-blogging site had a great time coming up with various captions for the photo. Boxer Mary Kom too was also present in the Upper House.
Sachin’s rare appearance comes two days after Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal raised questions over the absenteeism of nominated members from Rajya Sabha. Agarwal had asked Sachin Tendulkar and actress Rekha to resign from the Rajya Sabha if they failed to make it to the session.
Here is how Twitter reacted on spotting Sachin Tendulkar in the Parliament:

Sachin Tendulkar was nominated in 2012 by the UPA government in one of the 12 seats allocated for person "having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of such matters as literature, science, art and social service.”
Tendulkar was also the first sportsperson to be nominated in this category. However, he has earned flak after his attendance records showed dismal figures.
