Launching a training programme for the youth of border areas under Civic Action Plan, Punjab Governor V.P. Singh Badnor announced that the Punjab Government has released an amount of Rs. 48 lac to the BSF to impart skilled training to about 480 youths of the border area villages in 4 batches at 4 different locations under this plan. The Governor asked the BSF Officers present there to identify eligible girls of the Border villages for the next training scheduled so that the girls could also get specialized training in different fields and thereafter get adjusted to different jobs.
Adding further the Governor said that the Skill Generation Mission launched by the Government of India was aimed at creating more job opportunities, space and scope for the development of the talent in the Indian Youth. He said that by 2020 about 500 million youth of our country would be imparted training covering each and every village of the country.
