Chandigarh : The SAD core committee today discussed plans to celebrate the 350th anniversary celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh as a world class event involving devotees , people and governments from all over the country.
Giving details of the meeting, the SAD general secretary Harcharan Bains told news men that the government of India and government of Punjab have earmarked Rs 100 crore each on the event. The birth place of the tenth master Patna Sahib as well as the birth place of the Khalsa Sri Anandpur Sahib will be focus of major events which will cover different places of pilgrimages all over the country for which special committees are being set up by the governments of India, Punjab and Bihar to chalk out and implement different details of the programme.
At the meeting which was presided over by the Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, the party president Sukhbir Singh Badal gave the first outlines of the details of the meeting. The theme of the celebrations would be the vision and message of universal love and brotherhood which the life and Gurbani of the master symbolizes.
