The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly condemned the statement of Capt Amarinder Singh threatening the Akali leadership by saying "today the people are burning your effigies, tomorrow they will actually be after your life” and said that this amounts to provoking the people to physically harm the  SAD leadership. It shows the extreme frustration of Amarinder Singh and his dangerous moves and evil designs to capture power in the state of Punjab.

Strongly reacting to the  statement of PPCC Chief, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema said that no one imagined that Congress Chief will think so low about their political rivals. This is a criminal act which cannot be approved by any right thinking individual in the state and the country.

Cheema further said that the Congress party is trying to create law and order situation in the state by  physically attacking the political opponents as well as attacking and  insulting the law enforcing agencies in order to demoralize the state force. He said that when the state Chief Minister has himself respectfully gave a patience hearing  to the agitating Congress workers and even ordered and inquiry at the highest level to be conducted by the DGP of the state in a limited time frame, then it was the duty of the Congress party to have waited patiently but since there motto is create disturbance in the state, they have chosen a path unwarranted confrontation and even threatening the senior SAD leadership.

The SAD leader urged Amarinder Singh as a responsible way and reminded him that SAD is never afraid of such bogus threats. His diversionary tactics will not be able to deviate the SAD from the agenda of peace, communal harmony and development of the state.
